I think the only recommendation I could give is that the Lich should be able to get XP from summoned units battling to encourage that kind of necromantic behavior. As it is, it almost feels like a trap for XP in the long run.

Same goes for using recruited undead enemies when there’s no method to healing them.

Otherwise I love what we have so far. Could also use some proofreading but, seriously, it’s really fun.

Hi! Thanks for the suggestion and the feedback. Glad you found it fun, despite its problems :D

It’s a great game, but I think I’ll wait for an update to continue. There’s a problem where I didn’t get any hearts from the Battle with Vionne!

I wanted to let you know there were some errors I found in the game. One MAJOR issue was with the items. Non of my units could use the items to replenish HP/MP on themselves or others. And the one guy from the Second fight Didn’t die from the canon fire. I hit him 4 TIMES and he didn’t die. I had to kill him with a unit to end the battle. Here’s what happened:

Thanks for letting me know! The healing items are actually not supposed to work on your undead units, but if they don't work on the Prince, then that's certainly a problem. As for the cannon bug, that's an unfortunate limitation I've found within the engine so far- it can reduce an enemy's HP to zero, but a skill has to be executed on it for it to "count."

Then can I ask Why have the healing items in an UNDEAD army? Why not have items that can actual heal them? Something like a restorative moss or healing from souls, anything?

Ah, saying it now sounds embarrassing, but it was a short-sighted design on my end. After the "First Act," you're meant to be able to recruit human units, which you can actually heal using potions and the like, but as you say, it is extremely misleading to the player to give them potions when they can't use them in the beginning.

Would it break the game balance to have the Undead get life back for the damage they do? Say as a passive ability or use soul energy to heal. In D&D Undead heal from Negative energy; maybe something like that?

Ooooh, that's a good idea! A passive ability for all Undead units like that would be really cool :D

Any news on an update? I wanted to finish playing it on my channel.

Hi! I just updated the game to fix a few minor bugs, especially the saving issue. However, a bigger update to continue the story is still quite far off.

Definitely love the look of this game! Which version of RPG Maker did you use? Did you use a Tactical Battle System plugin or make it from scratch?

Glad you love the look! I used RPG Maker MV, using the SRPG Engine plugin.

Thanks for the reply! I've never used MV before (but I've owned it forever). Did you use *just* the core plugins or did you use all the extensions listed in that post? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm *seriously* interested in trying my hand at a tactics RPG soon and the more info I have the better. Thanks again!

I used several extensions, like Shoukhang's Summon plugin for example in order to create the Lich's Necromancy magic. I'd recommend taking a look through them and seeing if they're gonna help you make the kind of SRPG you wanna make. Most of them adds new features that could change the game's mechanics and flow in a huge way.

Good luck in making your game, and feel free to ask me more questions!

I like the looks of this game and it shows A LOT of promise! THere are some errors, but they are easily overcome. Kudos to the Team that helped develop this.
